Job Description

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine (Division of Molecular and Translational Biomedicine) seeks to hire a full-time non-tenure, non-tenure earning Instructor to conduct research activity. Duties for this position will include analyzing experiments, publishing papers, reviewing articles and book chapters while collaborating with research investigators as well as submit grant applications. Qualified individuals will have substantial research experience. The individual will develop and implement research projects with a focus on cellular and molecular mechanisms governing endothelial cell pro-inflammatory phenotype transition under physiological and pathological condition and mechanisms underlying hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction with particular emphasis on the role of Ca2+ and nitric oxide as well as Na+-dependent signaling pathways.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a Medical Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
